Ms. Sarah Humphrey

Sarah Humphrey is thrilled to be a part of the community and educational team at Calgary Arts Academy.  From the age of three, Sarah demonstrated a passion for literature, dance, and music.  In 2014 she became a mother and involved herself and her son in a family dance and music community in Edmonton.  She has become an informed early childhood educator in programs that use creative expression, music, and movement.  Sarah is also married to a writer, and is still waiting for that bestseller!  She believes in using hands-on experiences, learning creatively, and is very excited for a fun-filled year with the new Kindergarten children!

Ms. Chelsie Malinowski

Chelsie Malinowski attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, with a focus in Communication Arts and Literature. She then enjoyed teaching Grade 1 in Montana for four years. During that time, she also coached middle school girls’ basketball and taught summer school.

She loves being a part of the CAA community and teaching its wonderful children!

Ms. Rae Ann Van Beers

After being a substitute teacher at Calgary Arts Academy for two years, Rae Ann Van Beers is thrilled to be a regular addition to this lively and welcoming community! With previous teaching experience at the secondary and post-secondary level, teaching Kindergarten will be a new, exciting adventure for her. Her love of music, literature, and textile arts is a perfect fit for a creative and engaged Kindergarten classroom. Having worked with Sarah Humphrey previously, Rae Ann is confident they will make a great team that always puts the needs and interests of CAA’s youngest learners first.

Ms. Michelle Billington

Michelle Billington started at Calgary Arts Academy in 2oo3 as a Language Arts teacher. She has a Bachelor of Education degree with a major in Secondary English.

Her passion is to inspire her students to be confident, proficient, creative and critical thinkers while listening, viewing, reading, writing, speaking and respecting.
