Mr. Tukkimaki was a Year 6/7 practicum student at CAA during the 2017-2018 school year and is ecstatic to be starting his teaching career in the 4/5 team. After obtaining his BFA from ACAD, he went on to use his artistic skills to help organize art grant funding for local artists at festivals. His specializations include sculpting, installation, narrative creation, painting, and drawing. Mr. Tukkimaki is a born and raised Calgarian who sees the value in enriching the arts community in his own city. Some of Mr. Tukkimaki’s past times include reading fantasy and mystery novels, keeping up on the latest Nintendo games and seeking out the world’s scariest roller coasters. His favourite subjects in school were science, social studies and art class. Fun Fact about Mr Tukkimaki is that his cat Mr Rupert Giles has more followers on Instagram than he does

Juleta holds her AMRC Speech Arts and Drama diploma, an Honours degree in Drama from the University of Alberta and her Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary. She taught drama for the University of Alberta, both on satellite campuses in communities like Maskwacis and Slave Lake, and in Edmonton. Since 2001, Juleta has taught classes and private lessons in public speaking and debate, drama, and the performance of poetry at the Mount Royal University Conservatory in Calgary. Juleta has been an adjudicator of speech and drama festivals all across Alberta and BC. She is also a published poet. Her 2013 poetry collection, Incarnate, was short-listed for the national Gerald Lampert Memorial Prize as well as the City of Calgary W. O. Mitchell Book Prize. Her biggest sources of pride are her two teenage children.
Ms. Moore is excited to be joining the 4/5 team again this year. She recently graduated from the UBC’s Teacher Education Program where she studied Arts Education and English as a Second Language. Prior to that, she completed a BFA in Visual Art at UBC. She worked as a display artist for retail stores, as a drawing, painting, and woodshop assistant in the university, and as an primary school literacy mentor before deciding to follow her passion of teaching. In her spare time, she likes to take photographs on her film camera, make art from drawings, paintings, and textiles, and spend time outdoors with her dog.
Mr. White joined Calgary Arts Academy for the 2013-2014 school year.

Mr. Ohler has been at Calgary Arts Academy since 2010.
He began his career with the Young Canadians School of Performing Arts. He then graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dramatic Arts. After graduation, he joined the Acapella Fellas, who have performed in places as far away as Salt Lake City, Utah and was recently seen on the season finale of YTV’s Zoink’d.
Riley continues to pursue his theatre passion after school hours by performing in various community theatre performances.
