Leanne also began immersing herself in training at DJD, first as a Scholarship Student and later in the Pre-Professional Program. In 2005, Leanne received two grants to study dance in West Africa, a life-changing experience.

Calgary Arts Academy opened their doors in 2003 where Leanne soon became the first full time artist hired in a school in Alberta. She continues to be dedicated to this innovative Kindergarten to Year 9 public charter school, both as an Arts Immersion Dance Artist and Choreographer.  Leanne is looking forward to this school year!
